I went to device manager and found an error next to Dell ControlPoint, so I right clicked, did update driver, and then chose to search automatically. Any Way to Use XT2 Fingerprint Reader with Native Windows Biometric Framework?

xt Download the ControlPoint Security Manager deol for this device. I installed build on my xt2, and everything works great except the touch screen. I couldn’t get it to work in Win8 though. The digitizer does have an issue that appears to be caused by the beta drivers — an intermittent phantom touch or pen input is received, usually on the right-hand side of the screen.

Did this solve your problem? I tried multiple drivers from the n-trig Website. Internet Explorer does a better job of being controlled by pen or touch than does Chrome or Firefox.

I’ll go ahead and install windows 10 bit on my laptop and see ehat happens. Drivers work, but in Biometric Devices it says there are none installed in the laptop, meaning windows 8 does not recognize the biometric fingerprint reader that is built into the laptop. My educated guess is that this is most often caused by leaving a battery at non-zero percentage for a long time years and then using it all of a sudden. If you need further assistance with Windows, let us know and will be glad to help.
The first one also let me install its N-Trig digitizer driver with almost no hitch, while the second one is being more troublesome, with the setup saying that del N-Trig hardware was found, which has to be false, as both systems are the same model, and both have a stylus, so they must both have a digitizer.
